Yesterday, Sky Sports presenters Alex Payne, Stuart Barnes and Dean Ryan showed their support for ‘The Blue’ while filming the latest edition of The Rugby Club.
‘The Blue’ mouthguard is a symbol of rugby’s fight against prostate cancer, the most common cancer among men.
Keep an eye out for pro players wearing ‘The Blue’ this season. The campaign has been backed by the likes of Ugo Monye, Danny Care, James Haskell, Joe Simpson, Schalk Brits, Charlie Hodgson and Andy Saull.
You can get your Blue Mouthguard from www.opro.com and do your bit to raise funds and awareness to fight prostate cancer. Opro will donate £1 from the sale of each mouthguard bought to Prostate Cancer UK
Today we officially launch ‘The Blue’ - a custom fit mouthguard which will include Prostate Cancer UK’s logo, instead of the traditional club design mouthguards.
…and the Aviva Premiership and Championships finest are backing the campaign!
Ugo Monye, Danny Care, James Haskell, Joe Simpson, Tom Varndell, Tim Payne, Jonathan Poff, Tom Lindsay, Rhys Thomas and many more are helping us raise awarness of the most common cancer among men by donning ‘The Blue’ in 2012/13
They join the likes of Charlie Hodgson, Schalk Brits, Ernst Joubert, Andy Saull, Adam Powell, Tom Homer, Marco Wentzel, Olly Kohn, George Robson, Brad Barritt, Joe Gray…. and many more who wore ‘The Blue’ in support of the charity in 2011/12
Stars from Championships clubs Newcastle Falcons, Bedford Blues and London Scottish will also be showing their support throughout the year!
You can get invovled by buying a Blue Mouthguard from Opro via their website or from most good sports shops. A donation from each purchase goes to Prostate Cancer UK.
